After having a good first weekend at the box office Uunchai has decent hold on Monday.


Uunchai 4th Day (Monday) Box Office Collection Report: Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai had a good hold at the box office on Monday. The film started on a decent note being released on just about 400 screens. The strategy for Rajshree Productions worked and it brought a good amount of audience on Saturday & Sunday.

Uunchai stars Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Dany, Neeta Gupta & Parineeti Chopra. The film received good word of mouth from the critics and the audience. It is quite apparent that the film has impressed the audience.

Sooraj Barjatya films were previously made for families but Uunchai has impressed the youth audience as well. The film needs to hold well on weekdays to get to good numbers by the end of week 1. The film can get into the profit zone and it will be a huge success for the director who is making a comeback after years.

The occupancy for the film was decent throughout the day on Monday. Uunchai had the following occupancy on Monday:

Afternoon – 16%

Evening – 20%

Night 23%

The film needs to maintain this occupancy in the coming days. With Drishyam 2 releasing next week the film needs to retain the screens at the box office.

Uunchai witnessed tremendenous growth of 101% on Saturday. The film has collected Rs. 12.04 Crores in 4 days at the box office. Rajshree strategy to bring back the family audience to theaters have worked. The film was released on limited screens and the company save distribution cost.

With the good word of mouth the film had a very good respone and the screen increased. The film is eyening a 18-20 Crores 1st week at the box office.
