The Lion King Vs Super 30: The Screen Count Battle (19th July, 2019)

Super 30 might be a week old but it's giving a tough fight to The Lion King when it comes to screens.


The Lion King Vs Super 30: Super 30 released last week on 3265 screens and today it is occupying a decent 32.70% market share just lagging by 0.22% from The Lion King.

As we have already told you in previous articles about Super 30 that The Lion King will have a wide Multiplex Release but not a big Single Screen Release and almost negligible in Interiors.

Kabir Singh on the other hand might have 723 screens in it’s 4th week but the number of shows are reduced widely and it is playing in 3 shows at some places, around 50% screens are playing 2 shows and around 45% screens have allotted 1 show to the Movie. The film can benefit only if Either Super 30 or The Lion King fails to take momentum in the weekend.

Article 15 on the other hand is the most impacted film out of the Left Overs as it has 498 screens but around 55% screens are showing 2 shows and around 45% screens have allotted a Single Show.

Going by the morning occupancy other films apart from these 4 films are a non starter for this weekend and the weekend will be ruled by The Lion King, Super 30, Kabir Singh and Article 15 and these 4 films will contribute 95%+ coverall collection for the weekend.

The hindi version of The Lion King is being watched a lot till now due to Voice overs by Shahrukh Khan and His Son.
