Shikara Opening Day Box Office Collection Report: Shikara has a very slow start at the box office. The film is struggling for the audience at the box office.

Shikara is the story of Kashmiri Pandits who were forced to leave their homes in Kashmir and live as refugees in other parts of India. Around 400, 000 Pandits were forced to leave Kashmir in the year 1989-90. 19th January 1990 there were many houses burnt and people were forced out of state.

Generally, this type of film doesn’t get a lot of audiences in the theatres as it not packed with entertainment. The film also has a slow screenplay. But this is the first film to be made on this incident that might interest some audiences.

There are other films running at the box office and Shikara will have tough competition. Malang which is also releasing today has acquired more screens than Shikara.  Tanhaji which is having a dream run at the box office might affect the film in a big way.

Street Dancer 3D, Panga & Jawani Jaaneman are the other films that are running at the box office.
