Panga Friday (1st Day) Box Office Collection Report: Below Par

Panga has opened to low numbers on it's first day as per our early estimates the film has failed to leave any substantial mark at the box office.

Panga Friday (1st Day): The film has opened to low numbers at the box office and the opening day was supposed to be slated at around 5-6 crores.

This is a repeat telecast of Chappak, probably it’s not a good idea for small films to clash with bigger films if their content is not up to the mark and the business gets affected by at least 40% in such cases.

Although, the silver lining here is that Panga Carries good reviews and it might just be able to recover during the weekend as the overall business it needs to do is not much.

Panga Friday (1st Day) Box Office Collection Report: : Occupancy

Time Slot 1st Day (Friday)
Early Morning 12%
Morning 16%
Early Afternoon 21%
Afternoon 23%
Early Evening 26%
Evening 31%
Early Night 34%
Night 28%

Panga opened to lower occupancy than both Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior (15th Day) and Street Dancer 3D and for the entire day, the picture did not change much.

The film failed to breach a 40% mark in terms of occupancy for the entire day and if things do not improve today then it will fast start losing screens. Some of them will go to Street Dancer 3D but most of them will go to Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior.

The opening has been low across the country and smaller centers have not shown substantial trends and bigger centers have been just average.

Panga Friday (1st Day) Box Office Collection Report: :

According to our early trends, Panga has collected around 2.96 Crores on its opening day and coming on the number of screens it had today is actually low. Smaller films need to find the right gaps, as they eat up screens and bigger films like Tanhaji and Street Dancer 3D suffer in these cases.

And it is not only limited to the competition we have seen in past weeks that both Chappak and Panga have got a low opening despite having a decent star cast.
