Mumbai Saga First Day is marred by many challenges and it’s turning out to be one of the worst times to release the movies.
Lockdown in Cities, Night curfew in many cities and a compulsory Covid negative reports in malls in Mumbai will hamper the collection big time. The times are very bad specially when cases are peaking up in cities like Mumbai, it sends out negatives vibes at a national level.
Also, the screen count in this week is very less and as the overall picture comes out the operational theatres are not even 3000 at this stage and whatever theatres are open, there’s an occupancy cap at the theatres.
Things were much better when Roohi release, it looked like things are improving on the pandemic front, but condition has deteriorated very fast.
Mumbai Saga First Day Occupancy:
Film released on about 2000 theatres and opened to just about 10% occupancy, things improved after 12 PM shows and occupancy rose to 22% in the afternoon slots, however some news about Covid put the occupancy on a stagnant stage or a negative stage. The occupancy in evening shows was just over 10% which is pretty bad for the film.
Many prominent centres are observing a night curfew and this leaves the effective show slots till 6.30PM, which is a huge loss for the film.
Mumbai saga was suppose to perform best in Mumbai circuit but after the recent developments there are fresh curbs on the city right from timings to occupancy to entries in malls.
Mumbai Saga First Day Box Office Collection:
The current trends suggest that Mumbai Saga will collect Rs. 2.82 Cr on its opening day.
On the other hand Sandeep and Pinky Faraar is a wash out as the film opened to 3% occupancy and most of the shows out the 375 screens had to be cancelled across the country, the first day collection is less than Rs. 30 Lakhs.
