Mumbai Saga 9th Day: It was suppose to bring more cheer and more positivity at the box office after Roohi showed the way to Indian Producers. However, despite being a well made film and getting good reviews by critics Mumbai Saga failed to entice the box office.

This was majorly due to plot of the film as it caters to a genre and story of the times which are long gone by and appeals to 35+ audience. The 35+ audience is still not coming out to theatres as they have families with kids and they have to take more precautions due to COVID 19.

Also, they might come out for a larger than life experience like Godzilla Vs Kong which is not the case with Mumbai Saga.

Mumbai Saga has failed to create any kind of positive impact at the box office and will be written off as a failure at the box office. However, the same could have been different if these were not the pandemic times.
The performance of the film is no referendum on upcoming flicks of John Abraham like Satyameva Jayate 2 and also Emraan Hashmi. It is tougher to bring out audiences to the theatres right now due to pandemic, but in our multiple interactions with thousands of Bolivud users we have understood and time and again highlighted that it’s very important for the film to be good and also invest in marketing.
Around 35% of Bolivud users, who are also regular cine goers did not know about the release date of Mumbai Saga and Roohi which makes it very difficult for the film. Unless producers are confident of their products they can’t expect any confidence from the audience.
