Malang 3rd Day (Sunday) Box Office Collection Report: Malang had recorded decent trends in its 1st weekend at the box office. Despite not so popular star cast, the film has opened on a decent number.
Malang has a big competitor in front of it i.e. Tanhaji which has already overshadowed all the films at the box office. There are many other films currently running at the box office like Street Dancer 3D, Shikara, Jawani Jaaneman. They might also affect the business of the film in some ways.

Malang had a slow start on Friday and the occupancy was low in the 1st half. But as the day progressed the film recorded a decent trend on Friday. On Saturday the occupancy of the film was affected due to Delhi elections and there were theatres closed in that area.
It recorded a growth of just 32% on Saturday. On Sunday as well the growth of the film was just 10% over Saturday. Tanhaji recorded better occupancy than the film on its available screens.

The film collected Rs 9.76 Crores on Sunday. The total collection of the film by the end of its 1st-weekend stands at Rs 25.36 Crores. The film needed to collect at least Rs 30 Crores in its 1st weekend to get into the safe zone. The current figures are also decent.
The future of the film depends on its performance on weekdays. With the new releases next week Malang needs to trend better on weekdays to retain the good no of screens at the box office. Malang has performed better than all other solo films of Aditya Roy Kapur’s career in its 1st weekend.
