Bhuj – The Pride Of India Movie Review: Story

The film starts with a narration about the incident that took place during that time In the voice of Ajay Devgn. A few Pakistani officers are seen discussing their plan to attack the Indian airbase. The scene where the attack on the airbase is shown & the VFX effects used for the scene will make you feel that this film was made for the theatres. After that, the film goes down memory lane where all the characters of the film are introduced.

The character of Heena Rehmani (played by Nora Fathehi) is introduced with a perfect action scene. Bhuj – The Pride of India tells us the story that how with the help of local villagers the damaged airbase was repaired within 72 hours. The film tells us the story of unsung warriors mostly women that helped our armed forces to defend our country.

Bhuj – The Pride Of India Movie Review: Screenplay

Abhishek Dudhaiya, Raman Kumar, Ritesh Shah, and Pooja Bhavoria’s screenplay are up to the mark. The first half of the film mainly introduced the characters with few action scenes. The story of the film takes off in the second half where the writers of the film have done an exceptional job.

The climax scene of the film has been very well shot and will keep you on the edges. Dialogues of the film are well delivered and the writers deserve an appreciation for it. A scene in the film where Ajay Devgn tries to convince the villagers was touching.

Bhuj – The Pride Of India Movie Review: Direction

Abhishek Dudhaiya as the director has done a very good job and handled the scenes quite well. The action scenes of the film are very well shot and make an impact. The climax scene takes the film to a new level and will keep you glued till the end.

However, the film is a star-studded affair and all the characters of the film are not well defined. But overall Abhishek Dudhaiya has done a very good job.

Bhuj – The Pride Of India Movie Review: Music

Bhuj – The Pride Of India is a war film & there is not much music in it. A few songs like Zaalima Coca Cola & others which were released earlier are not part of the film. Desh Mere song will fill you with pride. Amar Mohile has done a good job in the background score.

Bhuj – The Pride Of India Movie Review: Performances

Ajay Devgn has done a great job as Squadron leader Vijay Karnik. He has lifted the film on his shoulder and has done very well in all the scenes. Sanjay Dutt has looked in full flow and has done very well in the fighting scenes of the film. The way he carries himself in the film has made a mark.

Sonakshi Sinha plays an impactful character in the film has done a good job. Nora Fatehi shines with her performance & action scenes. Sharad Kelkar has also played his character well. Overall all the characters in the film have played their character well.

Bhuj – The Pride Of India Movie Review: Final Verdict

Overall, Bhuj – The Pride Of India is an exceptional tribute to our unsung heroes. The film shows an incredible chapter of Indian history & our armed forces. The scenes of the film will give you the feeling that it was tailor-made for the big screens. If the film was released in theatres it would have definitely done the business of 200-250 Crores & would have been another blockbuster film of Ajay Devgn after Tanhaji.

It is a must-watch film on Independence day weekend which will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. It shows that if the people & the armed forces come together the nation can overcome any difficulty.
