Batla House 1st Day (Thursday) Box Office Collection Report: Solid Start
Batla House is onto a good start at the Ticket Window and is looking at a very solid 1st day collection trend.
Batla House 1st Day (Thursday): The film is clashing with Mission Mangal making it a mega event combined with Independence Day and Rakhi festivities.
In our report about Mission Mangal 1st Day we covered how Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day marks a slow opening at the ticket window for the films.
But just like Mission Mangal even Batla House has taken a good opening at the Box Office. The opening for Batla House is lower than Satyemeva Jayate but unlike 2018 Rakhi falls on 15th August in 2019 and that slows down the collections from the many mass pockets.
Hence, Batla House opened to about 29% just missing the top 10 of 2019. Let’s look at the stats before we get into the analyzing part in second half of this article.
Batla House 1st Day (Thursday) Box Office Collection Report:
Screen Count: 2413
|Time Slot||1st Day (Thursday)|
|Early After Noon||54%|
The film started on a modest note in the morning shows and it rose up quickly as the celebration times got over and rose upto 54% in early after noon slots and further rose upto 67% till 2.30 PM Shows.
Just like Mission Mangal Batla House will receive positive word of Mouth from bigger centers and WOM from interiors still has to be evaluated.
Right now Batla House is looking at a 1st Day total in Range of 17 crores and if film can get any further momentum today then it is bound to touch a 20 crore opening day.
Together Batla House and Mission Mangal are looking at giving one of the biggest Independence Day Nett. Total. Both films are in early shows and if word of mouth for both the movies catches up in Interiors also then we are possibility looking at a 50 crore+ day combined for both of them.
Also Today is Thursday and many people have combined it with a leave on Friday to make it a huge weekend and are either travelling or are with their families. Both movies are suitable for family audiences hence we are looking at another Blockbuster weekend ahead.
However, the negative side of any clash is if any film fails to pick up occupancy or under performs then the it has risk of loosing screens and shows to competition. Right now looking at the occupancy of both the films any such scenario does not seem possible.
We are probably looking at a repeat of 2018 Independence Day clash where both the films Gold and Satya Meva Jayate went onto to be a big box office successes. Here Mission Mangal again carries a bigger budget than Batla House and in all probability both the films will sail successfully unless the final king of the box office, The Audience given another verdict.
